END
PERIOD POVERTY
For many women and girls, in low-resourced countries, it is a simple fact that they don't have the funds to buy the safe and hygienic sanitary products that would allow them to manage their periods with dignity.
Our new project is to provide sanitary packs to all schoolgirls of menstrual age in Chongwe District. Produced by a local sewing group, using machines donated as part of the initial Welsh Government coronavirus project grant, each pack contains five washable pods in an attractive cotton bag. That is 18,000 packs, and 90,000 towels over the next 2 years.
A NURSERY
FOR SHIYALA SCHOOL
Following the successful 2019 project, building six new classrooms and a teachers' office at Evergreen Primary School, our new infrastructure project took us back to Shiyala to build a Nursery School.
Working again with CAUKIN Studio, we have provided two classrooms and a dedicated toilet for the pre-school children of this rural village community. Originally scheduled for 2020 but postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the project has just been completed in October 2022.
If you would like to help us to provide equipment for the school please donate to Mothers of Africa, Monaco. create a donate to monaco
